1Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using TallyMsg in any way, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the service. These Terms apply to all users of TallyMsg, including free and paid plan users.

2Service Description

TallyMsg is a personal expense tracking service. You log expenses by sending messages to our bot on Telegram (WhatsApp support coming soon). Our service automatically categorises your expenses, tracks your budgets, and provides spending reports and insights through a web dashboard.

TallyMsg is a personal finance tracking tool only. It is not a financial advisory service, a banking service, or an investment platform. While we work hard to make categorisation as accurate as possible, we cannot guarantee 100% accuracy. You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of your financial records.

3Account Registration

To use TallyMsg, you must register an account using a valid email address, phone number, and your full name. By registering, you confirm that:

• You are at least 16 years of age.
• The information you provide is accurate and up to date.
• You will maintain the security of your account and promptly notify us of any unauthorised access.
• You will only create one account per person.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4Subscription & Payments

TallyMsg offers a free tier and paid subscription plans billed monthly or annually.

• Billing: Paid plans are charged at the start of each billing period (monthly or annual).
• Annual Plans: Annual billing is available at a discounted rate. The discount is applied upfront for the full year.
• Cancellations: You may cancel your subscription at any time from the dashboard. Your plan features remain active until the end of your current billing period - no features are cut off immediately.
• Refunds: Refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis at our sole discretion.
• Payments: All payments are processed securely by our third-party payments partner. We do not store, access, or handle your payment card details directly.
• Price Changes: We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. We will notify existing subscribers at least 30 days before any price increase takes effect.

5Free Plan

The free tier is provided as-is and without any guarantee of continued availability or feature set. We reserve the right to adjust the features, limits, or availability of the free tier at any time. We will provide reasonable notice before making significant changes that reduce free plan functionality.

6User Responsibilities

By using TallyMsg, you agree to:

• Use the service only for personal expense tracking purposes.
• Not use the service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose.
• Not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service or its underlying systems.
• Not reverse-engineer, copy, scrape, or create derivative works from any part of TallyMsg.
• Maintain the security of your linked messaging account (Telegram or WhatsApp) and notify us promptly if you suspect a security breach.
• Not share your account with others or allow third parties to access your account on your behalf.

7Intellectual Property

All content, branding, design, features, and functionality of TallyMsg - including the name, logo, interface, and underlying technology - are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the service for your own personal expense tracking. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of TallyMsg without our prior written consent.

8Account Termination

By you: You may close your account at any time through the dashboard settings or by contacting us. Upon closure, your data will be retained for 30 days before permanent deletion, after which it cannot be recovered.

By us: We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or use the service in a way that harms other users or the integrity of the platform. Where possible, we will notify you before taking action, unless the circumstances require immediate suspension.

9Limitation of Liability

TallyMsg is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the service.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, TallyMsg shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service, including but not limited to financial losses, data loss, or inaccurate expense categorisation.

Our total cumulative liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or the service shall not exceed the total amount you paid for TallyMsg in the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

10Modifications to Service

We may update, modify, or discontinue features of TallyMsg at any time. For changes that materially affect paid plan functionality, we will provide at least 14 days' advance notice via email or a notification in the dashboard. Continued use of the service after such notice constitutes your acceptance of the changes.

11Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms that cannot be resolved through good-faith discussion will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in the territory where TallyMsg operates. We will always attempt to resolve disputes amicably before pursuing formal proceedings.
