More than a receipt scanner
Not every purchase comes with a receipt. The same chat also takes typed messages like “coffee 4.50” and short voice notes, so cash, tips, and online orders end up in one history next to your scanned receipts.
Everything you send feeds a web dashboard with spending by category, top merchants, and month over month comparisons. You can also set an optional monthly budget per category, and on Starter and Pro the logging reply tells you when you get close to it.

Receipt scanning questions
How many receipts can I scan for free?
The Free plan includes 5 receipt scans a month. Starter ($4.99/mo) and Pro ($8.99/mo) include unlimited receipt scanning.
Does TallyMsg keep a copy of my receipt photo?
TallyMsg reads the receipt and saves the expense details: amount, merchant, date, and category. It does not keep the image itself. The photo stays in your Telegram or WhatsApp chat like any other photo you send, and you should keep the paper if you need the original for a warranty or tax claim.
Can I send several receipt photos at once?
Send one photo per message. If you send an album, the bot asks you to resend the photos one by one. To log several receipts in one go, lay them side by side and take a single photo: each one is logged.
What if the receipt is in a different currency?
TallyMsg logs every expense in your account currency. If a receipt is clearly in a different currency, the bot tells you and asks you to re-send the amount in your account currency.
What if it reads something wrong?
Open the Transactions page on your web dashboard and edit or delete the expense. Clear, flat photos in good light give the most accurate results.
Can I export my scanned receipts?
You can export the expenses, not the photos. Starter and Pro export your history as a CSV file from the Reports page, and Pro adds a formatted PDF report. Each row has the date, amount, merchant, and category.
